Chemical Free Ways To A Clean Car

It’s that time of the year, when germs are flowing and noses are blowing. The flu seems more contagious than ever which has us on antibacterial overload.  In the process, we do our best to keep the products we use at home and for our family nontoxic, natural and chemical free – so the same should go for our cars when possible. We did some research and found some natural ways to keep your interior clean, that actually work. Whether you are tackling dust, crushed cheerios, bad smells or caked on dirt – these cleaning tips will help you out of your mess.

Windows: Ditch the Windex and use 1 cup of water, ½ cup of vinegar and ¼ cup of alcohol in a spray bottle. Generously spray your windows and wipe off with a mircofiber towel for a streak free clean.

Carpets: Baking soda. That’s it. Pour baking soda over your carpets and let it sit for a few hours. Then vacuum it up for a much fresher smelling car.

Stains (on carpets): Mix equal parts water and vinegar to spray on the area. Let it sit for 20 minutes then blot up the excess liquid.

Dash and Leather: Grab that olive oil from your kitchen,  guys. Yep, olive oil. Put a small amount on a towel and wipe over your dash or leather seats. Then take a dry towel and do a once over. This will keep your interior shiny and dust free.

General Smell: Aside from keeping your car smelling fresh from baking soda, you can also use essential oils to keep it smelling great. Either pour a little on a clothes pin and stick it in your vent, or you can also mix the oil with water and spray your car like a perfume.

There you have it. Some ways to a cleaner, healthier car. Do you guys have any other tips that you found work for you and your family? Let us know on social media!
