Splash Employee Named ‘Emerging Leader’

Each year, a handful of Splash employees attend the Northeast Regional Carwash Convention in Atlantic City, NJ. Depending on the venue, attendance (including exhibitors) has ranged from 500 (in the early years) to as many as 1921 in 2023. The show floor space has expanded to include Hall A and B with more than 386 exhibit booths, and growing. Educational seminars and keynote speakers are first rate and feature professional presenters. Even more exciting, the conference presents several awards to deserving nominees. This year, our very own Brett Sullivan won Emerging Leader! Instead of trying to recap – here is words from our CEO Mark Curtis on Brett’s win.

“Brett Sullivan heads our maintenance division at Splash. Brett has been with us for only four years, but he hit the ground running from the moment he joined the team.  He quickly assessed our needs as it related to everything maintenance, whether it be the buildings, the equipment, or any of the myriad systems Splash operates.  He implemented a plan to properly staff, train, and support his team, which started out as two people, and now numbers 16, and includes 4 people on an excavation team that Splash employs for its greenfield and renovation projects.

Brett has implemented an internal auditing program which monitors routine maintenance and troubleshoots breakdowns, effectively reducing down time significantly.  He has managed several major renovation projects and has grown along with Splash which has added 40+ sites since he joined the company.

But perhaps most striking about Brett is his willingness to tackle every challenge he’s confronted with the same can-do attitude as when he started.  His grace under pressure is exemplary and is the reason why he has a team so ready to pitch in at the drop of a hat to tackle the challenges presented by a 7 day a week operation.

I could say that Brett has already “emerged” but given his ability to continually grow in his position which has been necessitated by the growth of the company, I think the current tense of word is more appropriate.”

Congratulations, Brett!
